Special
Features
Hitting the Harmony
A look
into the recording studio for the Chipmunks new songs, interviews with
the musicians that made it happen and the technique for creating the
voices of the Alvin, Simon and Theodore. Very interesting however I
think this piece was too long. Not sure how many kids will sit through
it.
Chip-Chip-Hooray!
Chipmunk History
The best
feature of the two on the DVD! This has interviews with Ross Bagdasarian
Jr, son of the creator of the Chipmunks, whom tells us his dad's story
of how he came up with the idea of the little boys we know and love
today. He also takes us through Chipmunk history from the '50s to now.
What a wonderful and enjoyable addition!
Unfortunately, as you can see, there are only two special features on
the DVD. Unless you want to count advertisements for the Alvin soundtrack
and trailers for The Seeker and Garfield. Luckily the movie makes up
for the lack of bonus features.
OVERALL RATING: 2.5 out of 5
